ABOUT THE CAUSE
Project Sunset exists to provide long lasting mosquito nets treated with insecticide to those without access to them to protect them from malaria and to educate about the causes of malaria and how to prevent infection. The goal of this event is to continue to raise funds to provide for those that do not have access to nets.
Through E4 Project’s partner, Real Relief, Project Sunset is working to purchase a shipping container of nets to send to Gabon to distribute a significantly larger amount of mosquito nets at a much cheaper cost to create sustainability within Project Sunset.
The Sweat4Nets 5K will take place between 8:00 – 11:30 AM. The schedule is outlined below:
- 7:30 AM – Registration
- 8:15 AM – Welcome at Start Line
- 8:30 AM – Race Begins
