Community Development

Pakistan Programs

"Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."
1 John 3:18

We have been serving in several areas in Pakistan for over four years now. We had prayed for several years for an opportunity to serve in a predominantly unreached country, and God provided it for us in Pakistan. We serve the Lahore and Faisalabad regions, as well as the villages of Youngsonabad and Martinpur. While the “what we do” varies where we serve, the “why we do it” is always the same. We defend the cause of the poor and needy (Jeremiah 22:16) and proclaim the gospel through our nationally led teams on the ground. The people of Pakistan know their own people, culture, and communities better than we ever could. They can work more effectively than we, Westerners, can within their country. We have seen this play out in so many ways over the past few years.

Our team in Pakistan has mixed backgrounds, ranging from evangelism to asset-based community development (ABCD), literacy and skills training, and program management. Through their gifts, passions, and hard work, we have accomplished so much in this short period of time.

We strive to create environments where people can experience dignity, build skills, grow in confidence, and form relationships that strengthen both their lives and their faith. Most importantly, we are sharing the love of Jesus in both word and deed with people living on the margins of society.
